How ‘more mature’ collectors are powering the NFT market’s comeback (TheArtNewspaper)
I just want to say, briefly, that when I go seeking “news stories” about crypto art for this newsletter, I find an overwhelming majority of the stories about digital or crypto or NFT or blockchain art are obviously sponsored stories about how this-or-that artist is “revolutionizing art on the blockchain” and “bringing life back to Bitcoin art” and other hyperbolic, nonsensical boasts. Just be aware, my friends, that there are rotten things in the state of Denmark. You find this often on publications like CoinTelegraph and CryptoNews, so just be wary out there: It’s super easy to buy press if you have the cash on-hand.
And then, on top of that, there just aren’t very many sites dedicated to writing about crypto art itself. RightClickSave is wonderful, but they currently publish new articles very infrequently. And NFTNow, they do some good stuff, but most of their output is market-based and hype-chasing.
